Premium: The money paid to us for this Plan.
Policyholder: Any individual who purchased this Plan. He/she must be above the age of 18.
Beneficiary: The Beneficiary of this Plan is any individual identified by the policyholder who the benefits will be paid to should death occur.
Death Benefit: The monetary benefits paid to the beneficiary of this Plan as a result of the death of the policyholder.
Tenor: The tenor is the duration for which the policyholder enjoys cover. This Plan offers flexibility for the policyholder to determine the duration of cover. The minimum tenor for this Plan is 1 year.
Mortgagor: The financial institution that provides the mortgage facility.
Mortgagee: The person who obtained a mortgage loan from the Mortgagor. In this case, it is the policyholder.
Contributions: The money paid for the investments Plan which determines your Maturity Benefit.
Annuitant: The Annuitant is the person who receives regular income from us a result of purchasing this plan. This person can also be called the beneficiary for (for Immediate Retir+ Benefit Plan).
Double Accident Benefit: The benefit paid to the beneficiary is double if the policyholder dies by accident.
Waiver of Premium: The contribution will continue to be paid by ARM Life in the case of the death, permanent disability or critical illness of the policyholder. The Maturity Benefit in this case will be paid to the Beneficiary by the Company at the maturity date of the policy.
Family Income Benefit: The lump sum of the Death Benefits paid in installments to the named beneficiary. This can be paid monthly, quarterly, half yearly or yearly.
Maturity: The period the Plan reaches full term as specified by the policy-holder.
Maturity Benefit: The total sum that will be received by the policyholder or the beneficiary at the end of the term.
Riders: An endorsement to your policy that adds additional coverage on our liability for payment of benefits under certain conditions. Riders can provide more coverage to you.
Waiting Period: The period that the policy will be active for before claims can be paid. The waiting period for this plan is 6 months .
Critical Illness: If the policyholder suffers a critical illness as defined in the Policy document, the policy-holder will be paid the sum assured. The liability of the company on the death benefit thereafter ceases.
