Cell Phones

No personal phone calls should be taken whilst talking to a customer. Cell phones should be on silent mode and at no time should a customer hear a cell phone ring.

Noise Levels

Customers should never hear any other voice but the person to whom they are speaking. When customers are in the room, there should be no speaking across to room to another team member.

Eating At your Desk/Workstation

There should be no eating of any sort when attending to a customer in the office or on the phone. This includes chewing gum. Drinks are allowed but care must be taken to ensure liquid does not spill on the table, documents or system.

 

ATTITUDE TO WORK

Attendance & Punctuality

As a staff member, you are expected to be conscientious about punctuality and attendance. If you are going to be late for work or absent for a day or more because of illness or any other  reason, contact your Unit Head as soon as possible. If you do not call in, your absence will be classified as unauthorized and your pay will be deducted. If you do not call in for three or more days, you will be subject to more stringent disciplinary actions.Habitual absence or late coming may be a cause for a bad performance rating or even disciplinary actions. Sick leave should be supported by a medical certificate from the company approved hospital, if it extends beyond 24 hours.

Confidentiality

All client's documentation should be face down when placed on your table. NO client's information should be exposed for others to see.

 

OFFICE SPACE

Keeping the Office Tidy & Functional

It is important for everyone to ensure that they keep the environment where they work tidy and neat at all times.

This means keeping your chairs tucked in under your desk when you leave your workstation.  No mugs or drinks bottles must be left behind after it has been used.  Your workstation must be neat and tidy AT ALL TIMES with no paper lying around and all stationery, files and paperwork properly arranged.
